Wg chinskich stron , jest to ten parowiec na zdjeciu. ale on byl raczej bocznokolowy,.
Ship: Junhe gunboat, an old merchant ship purchased by Shanghai Jiangnan Manufacturing Bureau with more than 20 years of age, reassembled the power system and changed it to use as a troop carrier. It was completed in 1882. The ship is 45 meters long and 7.49 meters wide, with an output of 80 horsepower and a displacement of 354 tons. It is equipped with nine artillery pieces.
Ship: Junhe gunboat, an old merchant ship purchased by Shanghai Jiangnan Manufacturing Bureau with more than 20 years of age, reassembled the power system and changed it to use as a troop carrier. It was built by Jiangnan Manufacturing Bureau in the seventh year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1868), with a length of 59.2 meters, a width of 8.7 meters, a draft of 2.56 meters, a displacement of 600 tons, a speed of 9 knots, and a ratio of 1:75

in Yokohama 1868. In 1869 she was chartered by the. Japanese Navy for
operations against Enomoto. Towards the end of I869 she was bought by her agents
in Japan, Walsh, Hall & Co. an* was probably sol* by them to the Tosa-Han in
1870, renamed MOMIJIGA, and used by Iwasaki prior to the formation of the Mitsubishi Yubin.
She was probably lost about 1875

Tu trzeba być, moim zdaniem, ostrożnym. W zachodnich relacjach często pojawia się informacja, że takim czy innym okrętem chińskim dowodził Europejczyk czy Amerykanin, tymczasem najczęściej był on tylko "doradcą", dowództwo zaś spoczywało w rękach Chińczyka. Relacja pomiędzy nimi mogły być różne, ale formalnie dowodził Chińczyk, który, zdarzało się, w źródłach zachodnich był niekiedy nawet pomijany. Przyjęło się później twierdzić iż dany człowiek Zachodu dowodził chińskim okrętem, a często tak nie było.chyba nie wszystkie okrety zbudowane w stoczni Kiangnan , mialy od poczatku chinskich dowodcow
Choć z drugiej strony we wczesnym okresie (lata 60. a nawet początek 70.) tak mogło być.

We hear that the Command of the new Chinese Gunboat recently Lunched from the Kauchang Arsenal is to be given to Captain Cooper, a gentleman well known to most Shanghai residenta as an experienced navigator recently m command of the S. S. N. Co.'s Str. Shansee, and formerly of the steamers Pembroke, Hongque and several others; against this selection we believe, few, will have a word to say.

Ale juz w 1872 po wodowaniu,
czasopisma podawaly ze pierwsza fregata bedzie uzbrojona w dziala Kruppa
W 1873 przed wodowaniem drugiej fragaty MCH pisze , ze dzala Krupa
dla beterii obu okretow sa oczekiwane z Europy.

Besides these, there are in course of ooustruetion two iron steamers, 60 feet lung by 12 feet beam and 4 ft. 9 in. de[4l3 of bold. These were laid down by the express orders of the late Viosroy Tseng-kwo-fan, who intended to use them as despatch boats between Soochow and Nankin. They are to be fitted with twin screws; the two points to be aimed at being great speed and light draft. Each to carry 18 pounder rifled gun. Since the Viceroy's death these are not being pushed on a rapidly.

“There avealsobeenmade:two small ironshipssixchang long and two chang wide, drawing water above four feet:. Both ends have a screw propeller. It ia-just
as thoiigh'they were two bows ; thus saving thie trouble of rowing. and tnrning round, and.enabling theIaunch to go ahead or astern -at pleasure” &e., de.
