RUSSIANS AND THE DANUBEBE TUG AND LIGHTER COMPANY .Messrs Foscolo and Co. write to us, under date Galatz, July 4: -" In your paper of the 30th ult , we notice a letter, dated Turnu Magnerelle, 26th June, from your Special Correspondent. This is not correct, for although, A we believe they have made use of our lighter, and know positively they' used the tug Dumette to carry troops across from Simnitza to Sistova, they have made no payment nor yet given any acknowledgment of having by force takeni posseossion of property belongig to the Danube Tug and Lighter Company (Limited), for which we are agents out here. As the statement is likely to mislead the English public generally and shareholders in the company particularly, we will thank you to publish It this." .
